Senior Football Data Scientist
We are looking for a Senior Football Data Scientist to design, build, and improve analytical models that turn complex football data into clear, decision-ready insights.
In this role, you will work across experimentation, model development, and productionization, partnering with engineers and stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable analytics using modern Python-based tooling.

Responsibilities
- Build, evaluate, and refine football-focused analytical and machine learning models.
- Analyze complex datasets to uncover actionable insights and improve model performance.
- Productionize models using Python and modern data-platform workflows.
- Work with large datasets in Spark and Databricks while maintaining data quality and performance.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful analytical solutions.
- Identify and introduce better tools, techniques, and practices across the analytics workflow.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field, or equivalent hands-on professional experience.
- 4+ years of data science experience, ideally in sports analytics or a similarly demanding domain.
- Strong Python skills, including experience moving models beyond exploratory notebooks into production.
- Experience with Databricks and Spark for large-scale data processing and model workflows.
- Solid grounding in statistical modeling and machine learning methods.
- Proven football analytics experience through industry work, public projects, research, or competitions.
- Ability to independently solve messy real-world data problems and communicate technical ideas clearly.
